Photographing at Auberge Du Soleil in Napa Valley is a always a treat to a photographer but in October with the leaves turning and the softer light is even better! And to top it all off, I got to photograph a very sweet couple and their very loving families. Pam’s daughter’s were nothing but adoring of their mother – truly a testament to what a great mom she has been to them. At one point, I heard Jamie shout across the room, “I love ya” for no apparent reason and through the noise and talking around the room as well as the fact that Pam was in the middle of a conversation, Pam said, “I love you too” …just like that. Simple and Sweet and clearly completely connected. And one toast after another explained how much Pam and Jose complimented each other and how deserving they each were of finding their perfect match. Clearly meant to be – congratulations to Pam and Jose!
It was my pleasure to photograph Rachel’s Bat Mitzvah at the Congregation Rodef Sholom in San Rafael. It was really special to see all the friends and family that came to share this special occasion in her life and it was also very FUN to see them celebrate at the wonderful party Rachel’s parents, Amy & Matt, gave her at Mill Valley’s Outdoor Art Club. Both adult’s and kids really enjoyed the festivities which included a photo booth to capture all their beautiful mugs, a henna artist, gelato rolled in on a bike from Noci, the delicious food catered by Mangia Nosh and of course the dj from Denon & Doyle kept the party rockin!! Congratulations Rachel!!
The recipe for a beautiful, rustic, chic, vintage wedding….barn built in 1869, vineyards in October, outdoor chandeliers, a gown by Amy Kuschel, a couple that is not only beautiful on the outside but on the inside as well not to mention FUN, the groom’s brother serenading the couple the most thoughtful sweet song, the mother of the bride giggling all day long because of how happy she is for her daughter, Soda Rock’s coordinator, Isabelle Adam’s, taking care of every last detail with the sweetest smile and tone while doing it, etc., etc. etc. I could seriously go on and on. This was truly a wonderful day for me and I wish Jamie and Jason the best and as his grandmother said during the toast, “let’s have lots of little ones so get busy”! Ha!!
